Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview Of The Role The Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for a Project Manager to lead our technical advisory projects in a growing portfolio, supporting our clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition. As well as contributing to these new and existing projects, this position will play an active role in improving our project management processes and approach, driving both delivery excellence and efficiency in our business.Key Responsibilities And Duties Include Delivering project scope to time quality and costBuilding and managing strong relationships with senior client representatives as well as internal stakeholdersEstablishing effective communications across the whole project delivery teamTaking the lead on problem solving and decision makingControlling internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the contract arrangementsManaging risk to the business and to the clientWork effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver to tight deadlinesIt is expected that you will be able to demonstrate the following:Proven success in the delivery of thermal energy projects (such as OCGT and CCGT projects) working for a consultancy, designer, a contractor, or major industry clientManaging thermal energy advisory assignments including but not limited to lenders due diligence, acquisition due diligence and vendors due diligence of development, construction and operational thermal energy projectsUndertake technical reviews of engineering design documentation prepared by third parties and report on findings lead and coordinate the preparation of technical reports and specifications/ employer’s requirements to a high-quality standard while maintaining schedule and budgetLead and manage tender preparation and negotiation for Owner’s Engineer projectsManage interfaces between the main contractorsMonitor contractors’ progress against programme and key milestones, and support clients in successfully resolving contractor claimsManage and actively identify all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project, specifically the adequate application of and adherence to both statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirementsExperience in contract administrationKnowledge and experience in approaches to change management, risk management, schedule and cost management, along with all other aspects of project managementAbility to make complex decisions, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, accepting responsibility for own actionsCreates a work environment which promotes health, safety, and wellbeingThis role will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career in a highly supportive and collaborative environment across the Energy sector and provide exposure to some exciting energy transition projects that will protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions.
