Pirelli Digital Center employees are involved in the development of software and algorithms destined for the most advanced processes of planning, manufacturing and marketing of the group’s tyres throughout the world.Among the key projects being developed at the Pirelli Digital Solutions Center, there is the further strengthening of theBigData platformfor the collection, transformation and analysis of all the data from the company’s various ecosystems. This instrument enables theprocessing of algorithmsto speed up product development times, further improve its quality, maximize machine efficiency, optimize commercial effectiveness and create new digital services. In addition, thanks to the new algorithms – supporting all company and factory functions – Pirelli will be able to conduct studies directly on the tyre’s“Digital Twin”, the digital replica of the physical product that enables the design and development ofnew performance analyseson virtual prototypes. In addition, thanks to theIndustrial Internet of Thingsit will be possible to optimize the supply chain throughpredictive modelling of demandand improve production processes,predict maintenance of machinerywith benefits in terms of cost and development times and savings of energy consumption and transformation costs.The centre can count on a number of technologies including those of theInnovation room, a space which allows true digital co-working between employees in Bari and the around 500 people of the Pirelli Digital Team worldwide. It will also permit interaction with Pirelli Headquarters, Pirelli’s 18 plants in the world, suppliers, clients and the various university hubs with which the company collaborates in open innovation projects and skills’ exchange.WHY JOIN USTicket restaurant.Flexible working hours.Hybrid Remote Working.Employee benefits.DRIVE YOUR FUTUREThe Data Scientist will have strong software engineering skills, enabling them to transform data-driven ideas into scalable, high-quality products that will drive innovation across R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing, and connected tyres.YOUR CORE ACTIVITIESTranslate business questions to data science problemsDesign and implement robust, reusable, and well-tested data science modules.Develop, tune, and deploy ML models within production-grade pipelines.Collaborate with data engineers on data ingestion, feature pipelines, and model serving.Apply software engineering best practices (code structure, testing, CI/CD).Communicate results and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORMaster's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Statistics or any other data-oriented disciplines, PhD is a plus.Passion and curiosity for data, continuous learning, and building data-driven solutions that make an impact.Sound understanding of statistics and ML theory, including multivariate analysis, Bayesian methods, and time series.Strong programming background in Python, with solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, testing and clean code principles.Experience in model development and deployment – from prototyping to production.Advanced knowledge of SQL.Experience with GIT, CI is a must.Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.NICE TO HAVEWorking experience with AWS cloud framework and services.Knowledge of Docker and container-based deployments.Familiarity with backend web development frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI, and ORM tools like SQLAlchemy.Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).Exposure to Spark or distributed processing frameworks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
