Role Overview The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel and member’s club, ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting and budget management. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with regulations. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision making. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and other financial obligations. Confident in handling payroll reconciliation and manager relationships with Accountants and Payroll consultants. Manage the hotel’s accounting and finance team, providing leadership and direction to ensure team productivity and development. Requirements Passionate about the hospitality industry, numbers, and people. Proven track record in leadership with at least 5 years’ experience in a luxury/upscale property. Comprehensive knowledge of Opera and Sage. Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders. Excellent people skills with a strong ability to communicate and listen effectively. Fluent level of English. Only those Financial Controllers who are eligible to work in Italy or have a valid Italian work permit/visa will be considered for the above position.
