Sr. Datacenter Engineer

Job Description Stefanini Group is looking for a Sr. Datacenter Engineer (on-premises) to be part of our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) cluster within the Infrastructure Services Division. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced infrastructure specialist with deep expertise in datacenter operation, hardware lifecycle management, and critical environment systems. They demonstrate mastery in server, network and storage architecture; strong proficiency in virtualization and automation; and a disciplined approach to reliability, capacity planning and incident management. This is a one‑year fixed‑term contract role, with the possibility of extension. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and infrastructure. Monitors environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and power usage, to ensure compliance with operational standards. Assists in the planning and execution of datacenter projects, including equipment upgrades, migrations, and expansions. Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. Rack and cable management and also basic knowledge of network protocols and cabling standards. Team collaboration and cross‑functional communication. Physical capability (lifting equipment, working in hot/cold aisles). Job Requirements Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Computer Engineering. Extensive experience with datacenter infrastructure: servers, storage systems, networking equipment, racks, cabling, and power distribution. Strong expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) and container platforms. Proficiency with monitoring, alerting, and management platforms for datacenter and environmental systems. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall concepts. Hands‑on experience with hardware deployment, diagnostics, lifecycle management, and capacity planning. Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline operational tasks. Knowledge of datacenter standards and best practices, including redundancy design, cooling, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
