Hardware Test Engineer – EVSE & Energy Systems Free2Move eSolutions ( a Stellantis company ( ready to become an international leader in the design, manufacture and supply ofe-mobility products and services , is looking for aHardware Test Engineerwith a strong hands‑on and analytical mindset, experienced in thedesign, setup, and operation of laboratory test benchesfor AC/DC EVSE systems and Vehicle‑to‑Grid (V2G) applications.You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary development team, working alongside system, electronic, and software engineers tovalidate, characterize, and enhance the hardware performanceof new devices and components for e‑mobility and smart energy management solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Development and ExecutionDesign, build, and maintainlaboratory test benches and simulation setupsfor AC and DC charging systems.Developmanual or automated test proceduresfor validation of electronic components, power modules, and control units.Performelectrical, thermal, and functional measurementson prototypes and production samples.Analyze test results andprepare detailed technical reports , highlighting deviations, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.Collaborate with the design team toidentify and resolve hardware and system integration issues .Product Development SupportProvidetechnical inputon testing requirements during the product specification phase (AC/DC EVSE).Participate in thecharacterization and qualificationof new electronic components, sensors, and power or control modules.Support validation ofcommunication and control functionalities(e.g., CAN, Modbus, OCPP, ISO 15118).Contribute toelectrical, environmental, and safety qualificationaccording to relevant standards (IEC, EN, UL).Laboratory ManagementManage and maintainlaboratory equipment and instrumentation(power supplies, oscilloscopes, electronic loads, network analyzers, EV simulators).Ensure compliance withelectrical safety procedures and good laboratory practices .Coordinate testing activities bothinternally and with external laboratories or certification bodies , when required.Requirements and SkillsEducation:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inElectronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics(or equivalent).A technical diploma with significant hands‑on experience will also be considered.Technical Skills:Solid understanding ofpower electronics principles(AC/DC converters, inverters, PWM control, filters, protection circuits).Ability todesign and operate test benchesfor power and control circuits.Experience withelectrical measurement equipment(oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, electronic loads, network analyzers).Knowledge ofEVSE architectures (AC/DC)and relevant standards (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, CHAdeMO, CCS).Familiarity withcommunication protocolsused in energy and automotive systems ( CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP ).Experience withautomated testing tools or scripting(Python, LabVIEW, or similar) is a plus.Understanding ofelectrical safety and EMC standards .Soft Skills:Analytical and detail‑oriented approach.Strong teamwork and communication skills withinmultidisciplinary environments(hardware, software, systems).Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple test activities.Effective technical reporting and documentation abilities.Curiosity and a practical attitude toward experimentation and problem solving.Role Objectives (First 12 Months)Design and implementtest benchesfor AC/DC EVSE and V2G controller validation.Supportproduct validation and certificationactivities (performance, safety, communication).Collaborate with the development team to improvehardware reliability and robustness .Develop and standardizetesting and validation proceduresfor R&D and production use.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience inpower electronicsorembedded hardware testing .Background ine‑mobility ,smart grid , orrenewable energy systems .Familiarity withhardware/software environmentsor automated test setups.What We OfferOpportunity to work oninnovative technologiesin EVSE, V2G, and Virtual Power Plant fields.Collaborative environment with an international (Italy, France, US) multidisciplinary team of innovators.Access toadvanced laboratory equipmentand cutting‑edge tools.#J-18808-Ljbffr
