Your Role and Responsibilities You will coordinate utilization of equipment and ensure a high level of service and cost-effective movement of goods for the customer. The environment is fast paced with constantly changing demands and requires on-going attention to customer requirements, balancing transport requests with available transport options, and real-time communication of service issues with shippers and receivers. The position requires decisions which impact cost and service on a constant basis with minimal review and requires a broad range of knowledge of preferred lanes, rates, and equipment availability. Work model: Li-Hybrid In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for: Optimize ABB transport operations by balancing cost, service level (e.g., lead time), and planning parameters. Communicate with transport providers to place orders, confirm shipments, and track key milestones. Plan and optimize multi-leg and multi-segment shipments, calculating total lead time and transport costs. Apply transport planning tools and market knowledge, collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders, and justify cost overruns when necessary. Qualifications for the Role High school diploma (preferably in logistics); 1–2 years of experience in transport management or freight forwarding is a plus. You can handle and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English; you like building professional relationships with customers and transport providers. You possess excellent analytical thinking and decision-making skills; you are able to work independently with a sense of urgency. You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience with advanced TMS platforms (Eyefreight is a plus). You have Familiar with transportation rules, regulations, and market operations. You demonstrate initiative, adaptability, planning, quality focus, teamwork, customer orientation, and ability to work under pressure.
