We were meant to fly.Job DescriptionAs an Import/Export and Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing customs operations and the logistics flow of goods both domestically and internationally, ensuring that everything is done efficiently, safely, and compliant with regulations and ensuring on‑time deliveries.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage import/export activities, collaborating with customs and ensuring that all international transactions comply with the rules and regulations governing the import and export of goodsSupport the Commercial and Program Management team in developing and maintaining programs that ensure regulatory complianceCoordinate the sending and receiving of goods domestically and internationally, managing any issues that may arise during customs and delivery operationsDevelop and implement, in coordination with HQ, logistics transformation strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster company growth and competitivenessLead/participate in daily management meetings, Cell Control Center/Plan Control Center, Genba walks, Kaizen and Shingi eventsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to evaluate logistics performance and identify opportunities for improvementCollaborate with functional leaders to ensure operational alignment with the production plan and key performance indicators and demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and overall corporate objectivesActivate connected flow using GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating system to achieve future corporate inventory and flow objectivesQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s Degree in STEM subjects including EconomicsSolid previous experience in leading logistic and materials teams driving lean culture and operational transformationStrong experience in a Lean ManufacturingFluent in English and Italian, both written and oralProficient in computer Skills, MS Office package, SAPWork Visa, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsStrong analytical skillsStrong interpersonal and soft skills: communication, time management, teamwork, critical thinking, problem‑solving, adaptabilityDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated ability to lead programs / projectsEstablished project management skillsWhat We OfferSmart working and work life‑balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes hybrid work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work‑life balance.
