Senior Engineer – Subsea Distribution SystemsDrive technical delivery of subsea power and control systems for offshore energy projects.Own the design and execution of complex subsea distribution technologies.About the roleBecome part of Baker Hughes Subsea Engineering division, where we apply cutting‑edge technologies and robust engineering principles to transform offshore energy operations. Our team designs and delivers integrated subsea systems that support safe, efficient and sustainable exploration and production of hydrocarbons in challenging environments. From structural and mechanical design to systems integration, digital diagnostics and life‑of‑field asset management, our engineers work across the full lifecycle of subsea infrastructure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts on high‑impact projects, leverage advanced simulation tools and data analytics, and contribute to the development of next‑generation subsea technologies that power the global energy supply.Primary responsibilitiesEstablish technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards.Lead and contribute to design development activities such as CAD modelling and document creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule.Work cross‑functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design, activities and deliverables.Present design outcomes in design reviews when relevant.Be accountable for cost‑out activities, budget monitoring and engineering plan progress.Manage engineering suppliers on the technical standpoint, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and contractual requirements.Provide engineering support to program management and other stakeholders.Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and testing of designed products.Provide consultancy advice to the project bid team.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Expert in 3‑D CAD modelling.Knowledge of subsea equipment and relevant design methodologies (desired).Robust mechanical design background with proven experience in a similar role.Proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility.Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.BenefitsContemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities.Comprehensive private medical care options.Safety net of life insurance and disability programs.Tailored financial programs.Additional elected or voluntary benefits.CompanyWe are an energy technology company that provides solutions to energy and industrial customers worldwide.
