We are seeking an experienced EAI (Electrical, Automation, and Instrumentation) Engineer to join our team at the customer site in Lucca, Italy . As part of this dynamic role, you’ll report to the Maintenance Manager and contribute directly to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems at the mill. Your Key Responsibilities Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for EAI systems, participate in troubleshooting, and ensure reliable operation. Drive system reliability, manage life‑cycle strategies, and develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for automation systems. Work with internal teams, external experts, and OEM suppliers to enhance system performance and maintain documentation. Train and coach team members on system maintenance, programming, and problem‑solving. What You’ll Bring High‑level qualification in Electrical and Automation Engineering. Hands‑on expertise in PLC and DCS programming. Strong understanding of automation hardware/software, technical drawings, and testing techniques. Proficiency in both English and Italian is required. A proactive and safety‑oriented mindset with excellent teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
