Due to international growth, we are now recruiting for a talented Full Stack Developer. Firmware Development Engineer Fulltime: Treviso, Italy Area of responsibility The department of R&D Connectivity in Treviso is looking for a Firmware Development Engineer. In this role you will be part of an international team and you will be responsible for the following activities: Design, Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers used in connected lighting products wired and wireless Implement solutions for RTOS-based and bare-metal architectures. Integrate networking stacks and connectivity protocols into embedded systems. Optimize firmware for low-power operation and reliability. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration. Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues using appropriate tools. Document designs, code, and processes according to best practices. Job requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in firmware development for microcontrollers Strong proficiency in C; knowledge of C++ is highly desirable. Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT) and REST API concepts Ability to read and understand the schematic of a digital electronic circuitHands-on experience with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Familiarity with unit testing concepts Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good knowledge of written and spoken English Preferred Qualifications Experience with low-power mesh protocols (Zigbee, Thread, BLE Mesh) is a significant plus. Experience with Nordic SoCs and development environments is a significant plus Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation is welcome Knowledge of embedded security principles is welcome Familiarity with CI/CD processes is welcome Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is welcome Soft Skills & Team Culture Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.
