Optical DesignersOur Client is looking for Optical Designers to work in the Research and Development Department, which is actively involved in the field of optical communications for satellite applications, in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The candidates will support the design, realisation and operation of a new test-facility aiming at assessing and certifying the interoperability of Optical Communication Terminal Payloads.ResponsibilitiesDesign and validate optical systems to assess performances of optical communication payloadsConduct test campaigns following relevant standardsQualifications And ExperienceStrong passion for the development of new technologiesDegree in Engineering or PhysicsExperience in Optical Systems Design and testing (telescopes and imaging systems)PhD in relevant fields is appreciated, but not mandatoryProblem solving attitude, autonomy and proactivityWillingness to learn new tools and methodologiesLocationThese are full‑time permanent positions in Livorno, Italy.
