Rome, Italy / Milan, Italy. It’s an exciting time to join Convatec Ostomy Care Team. The Market Access Manager role at ConvaTec is a critical leadership position reporting directly to the Commercial Director. This role involves managing a team of two people to deliver access, reimbursement, pricing, and clinical initiatives. The responsibilities include developing and executing a local market access strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders, and driving successful market access outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, cross‑functional collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of the therapeutic area to achieve market share targets and revenue growth. A key focus of the role is to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and key accounts, collaborating with global and local teams to ensure market penetration and long‑term success. They will particularly also focus on engaging with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), orchestrate scientific activities including round tables, ad boards and scientific events. You have a strategic mindset, exceptional cross‑functional collaboration skills, business acumen along with attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Your ability to navigate a matrix environment effectively and drive results through a blend of scientific and business strategies will be crucial. Success in this role will be measured by achieving market share targets, driving revenue growth, enhancing brand recognition, and ensuring successful market access and reimbursement outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities Develop and implement the market access strategy for Ostomy Care BU in Italy at key accounts (local), regional and national level to ensure products are valued and accessed. Drive institutional affairs initiative to nourish a strong contact network with key institutional players. Develop and lead a value communication plan to drive the debate with Company’s stakeholders, including the execution of related projects, such as real‑world evidence generation about the use of products in clinical practice and pharmaco‑economical evidence, that contribute to maximize brand value and product usage. Engage KOLs through educational events, scientific discussions, and advisory boards to foster advocacy. Develop and implement clinical training activities aimed at positioning Convatec as a reference point for education in ostomy care. Monitor market access and health policy environment, early identify new trends, disseminate strategic, operational, and financial implications. Participating to cross‑functional Teams, to capture business inputs and needs and translate them into Market Access activities able to successfully address them. Work in strict collaboration with Sales Regional Manager and Product Specialist to spot regional stakeholders and access opportunities in Key Accounts. Lead efforts in shaping the local reimbursement and tender landscape, collaborating with relevant internal teams to ensure market readiness and access. Manage and support tenders at a regional and local level. Skills & Experience Proven experience from market access, business development, institutional affairs and / or health economics. Solid understanding of MA processes and the goals and strategies of payers and other stakeholders in Italy. Strong analytical mindset. Excellent teamwork. Capability to network, build strong and credible relationships. Delivery – gets the job done. Meets or exceeds expectations and exhibits a sense of urgency on critical time‑dependent issues. Qualifications & education Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business, or a related field Team : 2 direct reports Languages English : Fluent in Speaking, Writing / Reading Italian : Fluent Working Conditions Field based role (Travel 60% of the time) The ideal candidate should be based in Rome or in Milan.
