Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and implement innovative consumer products. A day in the life As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you will design and develop systems that will power the App Developer and Customer Experience for the next generation mobile and entertainment devices. Over the next few years our team will play a critical role in the future of how the App Developer community interfaces huge array of Amazon devices to delight our customers. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language Experience building web applications with React and modern web technologies Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
