Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.We are looking for a Structural Analysis EngineerResponsibilitiesThe candidate will support the Structural Analysis Group activities by:Modelling activities, in terms of finite elements, of structural hardwares, using pre-post commercial software.Performing Structural analyses with MSC Nastran, in particular static and dynamic analyses, including generation of reduced models ( Craig Bampton and superelements)Supporting design activities, taking into account manufacturing aspects (e.g. bolt selection and calculation)Performing Multi-body Analyses to contribute to the mechanism design and to study the impact manoeuvresPerforming Vibro-acoustic analysesSupporting test activities, defining instrumentation plan, and attending to the test activities to evaluate in real time the empirical results and to guarantee the integrity of the structure.Evaluating the test results and updating the mathematical models on the basis of the correlation test-analysis resultsKey dutiesGeneration ofreducedmodel ( Craig Bampton or superelement) to be deliveredforCoupled Load AnalysesMultibody modelgenerationto study thephenomenaofimpact and themechanismsandtheirperformancesSkills, experience and qualifications requiredMaster degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical engineeringLanguages:Very good knowledge of English written and speechFrench Language knowledge will be considered additional assetThe following skills are considered a ‘must’ for this position:Knowledge ofpre-post codes togenerateFinite Element Models (MSCPatran, FEMAP, Hypermesh)Knowledge to perform independently structural analyses with finiteelement (MSC Nastran, Ansys, Actran)Knowledge to defineanalytically sine, random andshockenvironments and loads,applyingwhen necessarynotchingcriteriaKnowledge ofMatlab –SimulinkKnowledge ofsoftwareto performMultibody Analyses ( MSC Adams, HyperWorks)The following skills are considered a ‘plus’ for this position:Definition of specifications for structureDefinition of environmentandloadsKnowledge ofDynaworksKnowledge of CAD modeling and drawingBenefits and closingAt Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
