Role includes monitoring and supporting the business by facilitating the daily tasks and activities, the monthly actual close and quarterly reporting closure.JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the Italian controlling & business teams during the close process which includes preparing / posting / reviewing journal entries, coordinating submission, and supporting accounting questionsPrepare monthly journal entries and help with account reconciliationsAct as a main point of contact between local teams and Shared Service Center for due diligence and onboarding of new suppliers; provide training and assistance in PO creation, help on issues related to suppliers, support and clarification to external and internal business partnersIn cooperation with Indirect Tax team in Shared Service Center, help ensure VAT compliance and VAT returns are correctly submitted and paid on time. Specifically : review / check VAT reports / declaration (Intrastat, ESL / EPL, Import VAT), submission of VAT / VAT UE return forms, Intrastat monthly declaration, prepare other indirect tax reports (if applicable), supervise electronic invoice flowSupport the preparation of corporate reporting requirements meeting strict corporate reporting deadlines and ensuring full compliance with internal and external financial reporting requirements, in line with the group accounting policies and the local regulations, with a clear understanding of the differences between them (i.e. IFRS, local and US GAAP, tax)Provide accounting administrative support and training as needed (e.g. account inquiries, accruals, GAAP guidance, corporate policies and procedures etc.)Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support and responding to inquiriesParticipate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasksProvide support during the monthly close of financials to generate and review Financial Statements in compliance with Italian GAAP and IFRS (compare actual to the budget and investigate / explain variances, analyze key accounts, identify unusual transactions, verify adequacy of reserves and accruals)Follow accounting treatment and methodology used in accordance with IFRS and the Company’s financial policiesSolid understanding of basic accounting / administrative / legal complianceKEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE4+ years’ experience in accounting or financial analysis with Italian GAAP and IFRSBachelor in Accounting or related field is preferredSolid accounting and analytical skillsStrong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, and extensive use of ExcelExperience with MSD is a plusExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishAbility to deal with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operating personnel maintaining a positive attitude under pressureAbility to work independently (with limited supervision) and initiative to identify problems and propose creative solutionsWhat we offerA dynamic environment in a fast-growing company;Training : We support everyone's professional growth and believe in lifelong learning;Personal Pc and smartphone;Welfare package including ticket restaurant and integrative health careAccountability : we have a performance system based on individual targets, set year by year;Smart working : 6 days per month of smart workingAlternative Fridays to end the week in a fun wayVALUESCollaborative – We work together to create the extraordinary.Creative – We foster creativity & excellence to create value for our brands and business.Courageous - We are agile, entrepreneurial & we own our futureConnected - We stay connected and ensure we are always consumer first.Committed - We are responsible for our impact on other & the planet.Have a good day, every day with ghd.We’re passionate about innovation, not only in our products, but working to constantly innovate our place of work, creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
