We were meant to fly.As GCAP – Customer & NPI Quality Engineer you will interface with Customers, partner companies and company functions and you will provide Quality Deliverables. In this role you will lead the implementation of improvement plans and will support the development phases focusing on quality topics.Essential ResponsibilitiesReview applicable Customer Quality requirements during the preliminary offer to Customer and ensure proper flow‑down within all Avio Aero sitesJoin WOR/MOR program meeting, lead Program Quality KPIs to control industrialization of the program and escalated issuesCollect PPAP deliverables as applicableProvide Quality Deliverables during the Phase/Gate NPI approach, attend to program GateParticipate in the design phase, review and approve preliminary drawing according to the CPD processPlan and lead approval of VSE and QNs pending on the program in agreement with the internal and external teamAnalyze quality data to identify needs and opportunities for quality improvement and lead the implementation of improvement plansTogether with Design and Manufacturing, establish a Manufacturing Process that meets design requirements at the start of production, with focus on producibility and design change. You will escalated producibility issues to define proper manufacturing or design corrective actionInterface with Customer, partner companies and company function in a proactive and timely manner to define and manage Program Quality risksQualifications / RequirementsMaster’s degree in engineering, Aerospace/Mechanical preferredExperience in Aeronautical manufacturing company and knowledge of Aerospace Quality StandardsAbility to lead complex problems, escalations and problem solvingAvailability to travel internationally to meet customers/shops as neededItalian and fluent English language, oral and writtenWork Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsKnow‑how in APQP/AS13100 and LEAN principles and methodsKnowledge of problem solving / improvement tools (e.g. Six Sigma, FLIGHT DECK, etc.)Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong influencing skills in a global environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesWhat We OfferSmart working and work life‑balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work‑life balance.
