Our evolution from a boutique design agency to a leading performance media agency has earned recognition on the Inc. 5000, Forbes 30 Under 30, and other prestigious lists.About The RoleWe’re looking for a visionary creative leader with deep experience in developing ad concepts for digital paid media advertising formats on Meta, TikTok, and other channels. You are a creative strategist by trade with a background in design, video editing, or performance marketing, deeply focused on paid media performance and building ads that sell products and services.This role is part of our Performance Creative service—an AI‑powered creative strategy engagement for paid media clients that want to:Assess the efficacy of ad hooks, bodies, and creative direction to improve performance over time.Deliver game‑changing creative ads that outperform competitors.Increase creative diversity through a range of formats: static, motion, video, UGC, AI.Scale volume by producing 50–100 new ads per month to support rapid growth.Ideal candidates thrive at the intersection of creativity, AI, and performance, leading designers and editors in creating paid media assets across static, short‑form video, motion graphics, and UGC content.What You’ll DoCreative Strategy: Lead high‑tempo creative strategy for full‑funnel ad programs across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and Display platforms.Short‑Form Video Expert: Deliver concepts and briefs that sell products and services through short‑form video.Data Analysis: Translate client strategy and performance data into compelling ad concepts, using metrics like thumb‑stop rate, hold rate, and click‑through rate.Cross‑Team Collaboration: Brief designers and editors on static, animated, mobile‑first videos, and storyboards; sometimes create assets directly.Executive Presentation: Present creative work to stakeholders and clients with clarity, confidence, and rationale.Performance Iteration: Monitor performance data with marketing teams to inform creative iterations and improve results.You Should Apply If This Sounds Like You3+ years of creative strategy work on performance ad programs, with focus on short‑form video and statics.Portfolio showcasing performance ad work with measurable impact on hold rate, CTR, etc.Hands‑on creative skills: storyboard, cut, ship ads; proficient in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator.Strong grasp of performance metrics and ability to use them to drive strategy.Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Perplexity, Icon, Runway) to increase speed and volume.Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to give feedback and navigate client pushback.Deep knowledge of Figma (Auto Layout, Components) and Adobe Creative Suite.Hard DisqualifiersNo Meta performance creative ad experience.No portfolio or performance context.Strategy‑only with no hands‑on design ability.Weak client presentation and salesmanship.Working at DarkroomDarkroom is not a typical agency.
