Overview Beontag is looking for a proactive individual to take on the role of Production Planning Specialist within our Bologna team, in the DTE division , which develops RFID Tags and other advanced IoT solutions . As a Planning Specialist , you will play a key role in driving production, directly impacting how and when our products come to life. You will be responsible for planning essential production processes — stages where technology and precision meet. From ensuring raw material availability to coordinating schedules to minimize downtime, your contribution will be crucial to keeping operations smooth, efficient, and responsive. A typical day may include reviewing production capacity and material availability, optimizing plans based on customer demand, and collaborating daily with the Production , Logistics , and Quality teams to align activities and priorities. Your input will be vital to meeting delivery deadlines, improving machine setup efficiency, and supporting an increasingly agile and connected supply chain. Responsibilities Develop and maintain production plans based on customer orders and demand forecasts, aligned with available capacity. Analyze forecast data, inventory levels (finished goods and raw materials), and production times to optimize planning strategies, providing short- and long-term visibility. Actively collaborate with Production, Quality/R&D, Logistics, Purchasing, and Customer Service/Sales teams to ensure alignment and achieve customer-oriented results. Monitor key KPIs and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement. Manage unexpected events such as delays, material shortages, or demand fluctuations. Effectively use ERP/MRP systems to plan, monitor, and manage raw material procurement and related activities. Prepare and share periodic reports, providing clear analyses and useful recommendations to management. Qualifications Degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or related fields. 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within planning or supply chain. Familiarity with planning tools such as ERP/MRP systems, BI platforms, Oracle, advanced Excel, and the Office suite. Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving attitude. Excellent communication skills and team‑oriented mindset. Good professional working proficiency in English. Reporting Line: This role will report directly to the Planning and Logistics Manager. Location: This role will be based at our plant in Bologna, Castel Maggiore.
