Business Development Manager for Data Centers – Region Europe (f/m/d) Join to apply for the Business Development Manager for Data Centers – Region Europe (f/m/d) role at Hitachi Energy . Responsibilities Ensure, in close cooperation with the global Industry strategy, that the Europe region develops and maintains a strategic plan across all Hitachi Energy business units and segments to develop new solutions, deliver growth and new revenue streams (revenue targets, profitability targets, project plans). Ensure the product portfolios, value propositions and R&D roadmap are collaboratively developed for the target segments and well communicated to all stakeholders, supporting the development and achievement of standards through a clear definition and regular oversight. Work closely with the country sales leadership teams, Business Units products and portfolio management and with the global market innovation network, giving appropriate feedback on market developments and requirements, supporting the achievement of sales volume and targets. Build and maintain a strong relationship at senior levels with key customers, policy makers, stakeholders and decision makers to ensure effective communication on the segment. Lead the Hitachi Energy participation and thought leadership in industry trade shows and events in the region. Represent Hitachi Energy through high‑profile board appointments, speaking engagements, industry networks, etc. Influence the regulatory and policy environment through associations and organizations as a recognized expert and “thought leader” in the Data Center segment. Ensure swift adoption and integration of Hitachi Energy offering into solutions and promote it as the face of Europe in person, white papers and using digital marketing platforms. Engage and contribute to annual market validation, outlook and global budget target setting process. Further develop Hitachi Energy’s ability to deliver new business models by understanding customer value drivers and how to educate, advise and capture and capture value. Document and share tangible results in areas such as innovation, market definition, roadmap development, partnering, product launches, successful projects completed and collaboration within Hitachi Energy. Benchmark, monitor and share with the businesses the competitive landscape as well as opportunities for partnering with key OEMs, channels or service providers. Develop synergies with other Hitachi operating companies to facilitate a collaborative approach to our customers and develop new solutions. Qualifications Experience of 10+ years in the Data Center segment dealing with creation of customer solutions, senior level customer engagement and recognized as an expert in the field. Exceptional understanding and insight of the Data Center segments in Europe. Possesses a broad and deep network within the Data Center segments composed of industry professionals, customers, policy makers (country specific and European levels) and other market players. Strong commercial expertise and communication skills. Proven success in bringing together appropriate team members across an organization for exploration, building solutions and pursuit of complex new opportunities. Disciplined in process to show and report updates as well as educating stakeholders on progress, while soliciting inputs. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related disciplines. Master’s degree preferred. Expected travel needs up to 50%, including some international travel.
