We are currently looking for a Product Engineer in Italy. In this role, you will act as the technical compass for product initiatives, bridging the gap between user needs, product design, and engineering execution. You will define technical specifications, guide implementation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software in iterative development cycles. This position combines hands‑on coding, technical architecture, and product ownership, allowing you to influence both the strategic direction and the technical execution of the product. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks, unblock engineering teams, and continuously improve processes. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, visibility, and impact on product success.AccountabilitiesDefine and own technical specifications and scope for new features, ensuring alignment with user needs and product goalsBreak down large initiatives into small, shippable tasks and coordinate execution with engineering and product teamsCollaborate with designers and product managers to validate technical feasibility and suggest implementation strategiesProvide technical guidance and support to engineering teams on API interactions, architectural decisions, and trade‑offsTake full ownership of product initiatives from discovery through production, ensuring timely, high‑quality deliveryTranslate complex technical requirements into clear documentation for internal and external stakeholdersContinuously improve development processes, collaboration methods, and product workflows to optimize velocity and qualityRequirements5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, or 3+ years in a dedicated Product Engineer role in a SaaS environmentProven experience in technical scoping, estimation, and successful end‑to‑end delivery of product featuresProficiency in at least one modern programming language and solid understanding of cloud architectures, data schemas, and API designAbility to troubleshoot platform limitations and technical concepts such as OAuth flows, webhooks, and rate limitingStrong user‑first mindset with the ability to balance technical feasibility and product valueExperience working on AI‑powered product features is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishNice‑to‑have: Technical background (Computer Science degree), experience with social media platforms, German language skillsBenefitsPermanent contract with gross annual salary starting from €70,000, depending on experienceFlexible work hours and remote‑friendly model across Europe, with up to 3 months abroad per yearProfessional equipment including MacBook, smartphone, and headsetAnnual €1,000 learning & development budget plus 4 additional development daysPaid vacation, parental leave, and family‑friendly policiesTeam events and opportunities for collaboration, both remote and on‑sitePublic transport support for Austria‑based employeesInclusive, supportive work culture fostering personal development, autonomy, and well‑being#J-18808-Ljbffr
