Bim Coordinator

RINA is currently recruiting for a BIM Coordinator to join its office in Genoa, Naples, Lecce – Italy within the Civil Engineering Division . Mission As BIM Coordinator you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the digital design and modeling of infrastructure projects. This role ensures the effective implementation of BIM methodologies, manages project teams independently, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients. Key Accountabilities Lead the development and management of 3D BIM models for infrastructure projects (roads, railways, utilities, civil works). Coordinate and integrate models across all disciplines (architecture, structures, MEP). Manage BIM processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance and quality. Draft and manage OGI, PGI and BIM Execution Plans. Act as the main interface with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction. Perform advanced modeling using Autodesk Civil3D, Revit, and at least one additional BIM coordination software (e.g., Solirri, Navisworks, etc). Conduct clash detection, resolve conflicts, and ensure model consistency. Prepare and review quantity take-offs and technical documentation. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members. Integrate 4D (time) and 5D (cost) aspects into BIM models to support project scheduling, budgeting, and construction simulations. Organize and lead coordination meetings, both internally and with clients. Stay updated on BIM standards, technologies, and best practices. Experience in the construction phase (either as site supervisor or working with contractors) will be considered a strong plus. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Qualifications Proven experience in BIM roles within infrastructure projects, with proven experience as a BIM Coordinator. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and Revit; experience with other BIM software (e.g., InfraWorks, Navisworks, OpenRoads, Bentley) is highly valued. Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, UNI 11337). Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and interact effectively with clients. Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deadlines. Good command of English (spoken and written).
