At Fidel API (Permanent), in Lisbon, Portugal Salary : €60.000 - €70.000 Expires at : Remote policy : Full remote As a software engineer, you’ll be responsible for writing, testing, and deploying software to production. You’ll also run small PoCs to test concepts and improve software development processes. Security compliance is crucial for Enigmatic Smile and Fidel API, requiring adherence to PCI and ISO policies for all requests and actions. Enigmatic Smile is a fintech scale-up with Fidel API operating independently within the Engineering Team. Fidel API is a distributed team based in Lisbon, Portugal. Our global customers have diverse requirements, which we support through our platform. We aim to enable consumers, retailers, rewards publishers, and banks worldwide to enhance customer experience. Main responsibilities Develop high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions Conduct code reviews, analyze peer submissions, identify issues, and suggest improvements Maintain code and application quality, including writing automated tests Assist in project planning, solution design, and development decisions Contribute to continuous improvement in technical and process areas Ensure security compliance, including PCI DSS and ISO27001 standards Own the systems you develop, ensuring long-term maintainability, scalability, and reliability Required skills and qualifications Experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance software solutions Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows Knowledge of common development languages and tools Experience with databases, both NoSQL/Document and SQL Problem-solving mindset Team-oriented attitude Skills preferred by the team Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Step Functions Knowledge of NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript frameworks Benefits & Perks Our benefits are evolving as we grow.
