About the job

Join Franke as a Global Category Manager Taps and lead the global procurement strategy for this essential product category. In this impactful role, you'll collaborate with Product Marketing and technical teams to optimize and harmonize the product portfolio, ensuring alignment across all divisions and geographies. By analyzing supplier footprints and identifying opportunities for value creation, you'll enhance efficiency and streamline the supplier base to maximize benefits. Your tasks

Category Management

• Develop and implement medium and long term sourcing strategies in collaboration with CMO to ensure best TCO and security of supply for Franke

• Align strategy and tactics with other key stakeholders

• Communicate strategy to the organization to support implementation

• Contract management

• Lead the relationship with suppliers in coordination with other functions: Product management, Quality, planning


Supplier relationship and portfolio management

• Lead negotiations on a group level

• Target lowest global costs and highest value for Franke globally

• Manage relationship with strategic suppliers

• Actively manage the portfolio in order to benefit from a group approach toward taps suppliers.

• Guarantee supply availability


Project management

• Continuously analyse the supply market to identify new opportunities

• Align with all relevant business functions in achieving strategic company targets

• Secure sharing of information and support for the local organisations and business units

• Develop and participate in cross functional teams

• Implements the use of framework agreements on projects as directed


Continuous improvement of value and quality

• Implement, support and ensure the use of relevant strategic sourcing processes of sourcing across the group

• Identify and implement cost savings opportunities

• Communicate, co-operate and involve relevant stakeholders in order to drive the overall strategy.

• Engage and secure an open and direct dialogue with stakeholders

• Drive continuous improvement from suppliers on service level, quality, TCO and innovation


Leadership

• Link with local and central teams to ensure best results for all parties

• Lead with a strong support of product management team the supplier relationship

• Connect with division buyers to ensure proper coordination around projects.

Requirements


• 5/10 years within Purchasing ideally with a knowledge of the tap industry

• Worked in a Matrix environment

• Experience with managing internal and external customers.

• Ability to travel internationally

• Post Graduate education

• Commercial or technical education

• Fluent in English.

• ERP background – SAP preferred but not mandatory

• Travelling 30-50% within Italy
