Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery Job ID: | Amazon Data Services, Inc. As part of a diverse team of engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, you will help deliver the highest safety and security standards while expanding capacity at the lowest possible cost. Key Responsibilities Move, install, and ramp up large enterprise equipment. Patch and install fiber and copper cabling, ensuring proper safety and security standards are met. Follow well established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities. Use material handling tools and equipment safely (walk, lift, bend, and use ladders). Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues. Interpret and implement power and cooling requirements and complete hardware racking/stacking for new equipment. Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Assist with troubleshooting cabling infrastructure and patch‑panel connectivity issues. Work in a 24/7 environment and be available for up to 20% travel within the geographical work area (including occasional international travel). Stand, walk, climb, and other physical tasks as listed below, with reasonable accommodations. Maintain safety and security standards during all installation activities. Physical Requirements Walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Work at heights and from ladders. Lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted, or participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more. Climb and descend stairs safely; stand for long periods; push or pull heavy objects into position. Travel between sites daily may be required. Work overtime as necessary. Basic Qualifications Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies. Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem‑solving ability. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under dynamic conditions. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
