Senior Backend / Core EngineerAt Vendia, we’re transforming how companies interact with AI agents. You’ll own critical backend systems, ensuring scalability, availability, latency, and fault tolerance for our massively multi‑tenant platform. You’ll design, develop, and deliver customer‑facing functionality that enables enterprise users to manage and share vast amounts of operational data in real time.What You’ll DoDesign and implement a cloud-based, fully managed data plane at the core of Vendia’s real‑time distributed data platform.Build solutions that allow enterprises to integrate multi‑modal data at scale.Implement best practices including automation, CI/CD workflows, testing and quality controls, security, and performance optimization.Influence the vision and roadmap of Vendia’s offerings by collaborating with Product and Design teams.Partner with leadership to balance new features with rapid customer growth and engineering excellence.Minimum Requirements5+ years of software development experience in distributed systems, with operational responsibility for mission‑critical services.Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB) and serverless cloud architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, or equivalents on Azure/ GCP).Expertise in Python or Rust.Deep knowledge of AWS, including serverless architectures.Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and operational excellence.Strong project planning, communication, and delivery skills.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Preferred QualificationsStartup or fast‑paced cloud environment experience.Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, distributed ledger technologies, or LLM/AI agent integrations.Knowledge of AWS Glue is a plus.About YouYou collaborate and contribute while learning from others.You are relentlessly self‑critical and data‑driven, holding yourself to high standards.You are passionate about building tools and platforms that empower our customers.If you’re ready to help build the future of AI governance, we’d love to hear from you.About VendiaVendia is creating the world’s fastest and most scalable platform for creating and running universal applications.
