Position Summary At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. The Buyer I will be responsible to handle the purchasing activities in compliance with company procedures. Main responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, creating and maintaining adequate inventory levels and liaising with inventory teams and manufacturing to minimize stock out and supply chain risks. The Buyer I will work closely with other departments to support the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand and production schedule. Duties s purchase orders and follow up deliveries for new potential suppliers and negotiate rates r inventories and ensure they are kept at appropriate levels in and update supplier vendor list towards department KPI’s closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, R&D, Regulatory as required and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders e shot all issues that may occur at any stage of the procurement process ct management Education Degree Bachelor's Degree in Economics Required Experience & Competencies Proactivity, critical thinking, problem solving skills Team work approach Good IT skills (Microsoft Office365 suite), Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, Power Query are a plus. Knowledge of Oracle would be a plus Good English written and spoken 2 year working experience, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations This position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved, including regular communications outside the province of Quebec, training, email communications, and frequent meetings and interactions with English-only employees.
