We are One MHS and we will give you the tools and guidance that you need to invent with us in ways that are rewarding, fulfilling and fun.Key Job Responsibilities Work with interdisciplinary teams to architect and execute on embedded software designs from concept to production, including prototyping, validation, testing, and certification.Write and develop functional specifications, design verification and debug plans, and test procedures.Develop embedded software (C++) in a real‑time operating system environment for robotic conveyance systems.Manage multiple projects in parallel.Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.Travel to development sites to troubleshoot issues.Basic Qualifications Experience in embedded development in C/C++, or experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems10+ years of experience in software, firmware, and electrical system level designExpert in full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceUnderstanding of common embedded protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN) and how to implement themExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to support domestic and international travel as required by the programPreferred Qualifications MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fieldExperience with UI design for complex workflows and for end usersExperience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem‑solving abilitiesExperience with DC brushless motor control theory and implementationExperience bringing up and troubleshooting custom PCBAs (from prototype to production)Experience architecting and implementing OTA (Over The Air) firmware update solutionExperience with STM32 microcontroller familyDemonstrated ability to develop deep understanding of the business and end‑user needs quickly, and can proficiently translate those needs into the right technology solutionOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
