QHSE North America Manager

For our Headquarters in Milan or Rome , we are looking for a QHSE North America Manager . Objective The QHSE Manager supports the implementation of the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and international standards. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager QHSE West Europe, North Europe and North America and the Operations Manager, the role promotes a corporate culture based on safety, quality, and sustainability, contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring safe and efficient work environments across all projects and activities in the region of responsibility. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of the Group's QHSE guidelines and policies, ensuring their proper application in the Operating Units in the region of responsibility (North America). Support local QHSE Managers in defining and developing project QHSE plans, monitoring their effectiveness and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Participate in internal and external audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and QHSE management systems, collaborating in the definition of corrective and preventive actions. Prepare QHSE documentation for tenders, institutional reports, and performance monitoring, in collaboration with the Proposal Manager and relevant teams. Collaborate in the planning and delivery of QHSE training, promoting a corporate culture focused on safety, quality, and sustainability. Provide technical and operational support for incident management, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions. Monitor QHSE KPIs and propose solutions to improve performance, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, safety engineering, or related disciplines. At least five years of experience in QHSE, preferably in engineering, construction, or complex industrial fields. Excellent command of Italian and English. Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards, with preference for direct experience in management system implementation. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other specialized software in the QHSE field. Ability to analyze data, interpret regulations, and support the definition of operational strategies. Basic QHSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), IOSH Managing Safely, or other recognized equivalent qualifications) will be a pre-requisite. Aptitude for teamwork and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, excellent organizational skills and flexibility with willingness to travel in the 'area of expertise.
