The Amazon Robotics Supply Chain provides strategic sourcing for a portfolio of robotic technologies and is responsible for delivering new products by enabling the right suppliers and technologies, ensuring the right materials at the right cost, place and time to support our global fulfillment and transportation solutions. It is a fast‑paced operation that works cross‑functionally with teams across Amazon and is driven by data and metrics.The Sr. Commodity Manager ensures that the commodity and suppliers meet the technical and commercial specifications necessary for Robotics to satisfy its internal Manufacturing Operations, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering customers. This candidate works with multiple business functions in a team environment.The team consists of global sourcing professionals from various career and educational backgrounds, including Automotive, Consumer Products, Technology, and Aerospace, with diversity in FinanceProxy, Engineering and Supply Chain Management.Key job responsibilities-can lead the cross‑functional supply‑chain team dedicated to supplier and supply‑chain design, sourcing and logistics decisions, and supply‑chain execution for robotics products from concept, through development, to scaled deployment.-serve as a single point of contact for program resources to communicate supply‑chain decisions and progress, provide feedback on supply‑chain implications of program decisions and changes, and support financial planning and capital approvals for the program.-work with Robotics leadership to ensure partnership among Robotics Supply Chain, hardware engineering, operations and program teams on commodity and supplier selection, cost‑performance trade‑off analysis, cost‑road‑map development and execution, and enabling rapid product‑development stages, delivering an effective path to scaled deployment.-be responsible for defining and approving the希 Product‑level Supply Chain Strategy documents, including identification of critical components and suppliers, product‑cost roadmap to meet payback targets, definition of capacity plan and associated sourcing and tooling requirements, supply‑chain risk assessment and mitigation plans.-work with(logger) sourcing in developing negotiation strategies for categories that impact the product to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers for Amazon Robotics products supporting the priority programs as driven by the Operating Plan (OP).-work with GCMs on managing overall supplier relationships, including performance, capability development, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation and cost and quality improvements.-manage overall supplier relationships, monitoring performance, capability, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation and cost and quality improvements.-work with technical operations, engineering, and program teams on new‐product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements, ensuring sourcing strategies meet technical capabilities, cost and business goals.-develop efficient and accurate mechanisms for communicating forecast and capacity requirements for sustaining and new products.-guide theleigh purchasing and planning teams by monitoring supplier performance and addressing supply and/or quality issues.пол> quickying  aligning supplier strategies to Robotics goals for wasn sustaining production and new product.-develop and execute global commodity strategies that align business requirements with supplier capabilities.-maintain monthly supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly executive business reviews.A day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
