- 23:59 (UTC) Country Italy Type of Contract To be defined Job Status Not Applicable Is the job funded through the EU Research Framework Programme? Not funded by a EU programme Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure? No /ph3Offer Description /h3pMultiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) can limit autoimmune responses, but cell therapy faces challenges related to functional plasticity and potentially limited access to the central nervous system. We showed that extracellular vesicles (EVs) released by Tregs exert immunosuppressive activity in vitro and reduce disease severity in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a mouse model of MS. This project will assess Treg-EVs as a potential therapeutic alternative by (1) producing EVs from Tregs of healthy donors and people with MS and comparing their activity in vitro; (2) testing their effects on EAE progression; and (3) profiling their protein, lipid and RNA cargo to identify possible determinants of their immunosuppressive activity. /pulliItaly /li /ulpbEligibility of fellows: country/ies of residence: /b /pulliEUROPE /li /ulpbEligibility of fellows: nationality/ies: /b /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
