Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, AMZL The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon keeps vital machinery running at all times. Your work improves equipment availability and quality and enhances the operational environment.Key job responsibilities Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipmentCarry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouseUse the latest tools to maximise equipment effectivenessUphold all health and safety policies and practicesSupport the development and progression of on‑site apprenticesWork on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sitesA day in the life Our RME Technicians are based on‑site and respond quickly to any machinery issues, carrying out planned preventive maintenance to ensure equipment works safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigate causes, and implement solutions as quickly as possible, while suggesting long‑term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, you will handle day‑to‑day maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing and liaise with contractors when external expertise is needed. Shifts vary to support our sites around the clock, enabling Amazon to deliver at the speed we are known for.About the team Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps equipment performing at its best across Amazon’s global network of fulfilment centres. From installing automated packaging systems to general site maintenance, we maintain, troubleshoot and repair key distribution equipment. We also keep buildings legally compliant and operate sites at maximum efficiency. There are numerous opportunities for progression within the RME team and across Amazon.Basic Qualifications Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subjectRelevant experience as a qualified engineerRelevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenanceAdvanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writingPreferred Qualifications Experience in condition‑based monitoringExperience working with print and apply machinesExperience in fault‑finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systemsEqual Opportunities and Inclusive Culture Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
