Overall Job PurposeThe Senior Accountant occupies a critical, hands‑on role, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager or Controller. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial records, adhering to regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in the accounting function.CompetenciesFinancial Reporting: Competence in preparing accurate and timely internal and external financial statements and supporting schedules.Internal Controls & Audit: Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (like SOX) and the ability to prepare comprehensive documentation and schedules for internal and external audits .Advanced Analytical and Problem‑Solving: The ability to go beyond number‑crunching to investigate variances , detect anomalies, find root causes for discrepancies, and provide actionable financial insights.Treasury & Cash Management Linkage: A strong understanding of how accounting activities impact cash flow.
