Commissioning / Electrical Controls Engineer – Substation Relay ProtectionSponsorship and Relocation offered - however candidates must speak intermediate level of Italian and English.Do you enjoy the practical hands-on elements of Electrical Engineering and enjoy the technical challenges associated with power transmission and distribution projects?As a specialist, offering full turnkey solutions to some of the worlds most challenging electrical infrastructure projects, they now seek an additional electrical engineer with proven success in the industry.Why This Company?Globally recognised for delivering solutions for some of the worlds most advanced infrastructure projects, they pride themselves on their world class expertise, reliability and customer service.With revenues more than one billion and continued year on year growth, they are well positioned to continue to dominate the industry and poised to increase market share.Rewards & Benefits€50K - €85K Basic (dependent on seniority) – inclusive of 13th month salary2-4% Company Bonus25% Extra Pay, when on customer siteCredit Card - Travel Expenses, Hotels, TransportMedical / Dental / Optical Insurance (Family Cover)Under Italian Contract - All local legal requirementsRelocation Support35 Days Holiday (Inclusive of public holidays)About The RoleAs a Commissioning / Controls Engineer you will be responsible for:Spending 30% of your time on customer sites across Italy and 70% operating from my client's facility in Milan.Completing factory acceptance testing of control panels, ensuring systems are produced to specification and wired correctly.Commissioning electrical systems at power transmission and distribution substations (installs can take 2 days to 2 weeks dependent on project size).Supporting the project managers and technical leads with the development of the projects, configuration of devices, system design etcConducting site installation, testing and commissioning.About YouIdeally you will have the rights to work in Italy, however, my client is open to providing sponsorship should the candidates skills and experience relate extremely well to the opening.As a recognised federal government contractor, they cannot accept applications from residents of embargoed countries such as Iran or North Korea.The successful Electrical Engineer will possess a minimum of 3-5 years' experience installing and commissioning control panels, power panels or switchgear in power generation facilities, substations or power transmission and distribution environments.Its essential candidates speak intermediate or above level of Italian and English and hold a valid driving license.Education is Electrical Engineering is beneficial; however, a general Technician Degree is acceptable.Exposure to SCADA, ProfiBus, Modbus, DNP3 (Distribution Network Protocol), IEC 61850 would be highly advantageous as would a knowledge of relay protection products.Experience designing substations is not required if candidates possess the knowledge and confidence to work independently.----------------------------------------------------------Interested in this role?
