Custom Assembly Operational Leader – Baker Hughes Join us in driving excellence in custom assembly operations. Responsibilities Coordinate operations, workforce, and material flow to execute the daily production plan. Guarantee performance and target KPIs such as On Time Delivery, Productivity, Zero defects, cost of bad quality, workforce and machine efficiency, and HSE leading & lagging indicators. Lead operations through Standard Work and Lean Principles. Model key rules and knowledge in the shop to get people on board. Execute training plans on HSE (cooperating with Resource Manager and HSE Specialists) and on technical domains with relevant Subject Matter Experts. Support hiring plan deployment (interviewing and onboarding). Support new technology introduction and new equipment installation and start‑up. Stay up to date on new/contemporary tools or theories on manufacturing operations excellence. Champion HSE, Compliance, and Quality. Act as Ambassador of Manufacturing, supporting talent attraction and growth (internships, academies, collaborations with schools or universities) and be active on customer‑oriented initiatives (e.g., shop tours). Focus on zero overdue backlog. Manage customer relationships during manufacturing activities. Conduct frequent interactions at manager level with Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and enabling functions to align technical and organizational aspects. Handle complex manufacturing processes and define approaches due to customization for client needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in STEM disciplines, or equivalent technical knowledge. Proven experience in Manufacturing Operations Management and/or Engineering process. Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities. Strong leadership attitude during daily activities. Pro‑activity and accuracy in data processing. Good communication skills and fluency in English. Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training; knowledge of value‑stream mapping, AWO, Kaizen, 5S and other lean tools preferred. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and to lead programs/projects.
