IT Business Partner

RINA is currently recruiting for an IT Business Partner (HR & Supply Chain) to join its office in Genoa or Rome (Italy) within the Global IT Operations Division.MissionIn this role, you will ensure that IT services effectively align with the organization’s business needs. You will be responsible for managing and prioritizing service and project demands, ensuring alignment with budget and IT architecture, and maintaining compliance with GDPR and IT security standards. Collaboration with various departments to design, develop, and seamlessly implement IT solutions will be a cornerstone of your responsibilities, ensuring top‑point service delivery and unparalleled user satisfaction.Key AccountabilitiesDemand ManagementCollect, analyze, and prioritize service and project requests from business and stakeholders.Ensure alignment between demand, budget, and IT application architecture.Evaluate technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions, managing conflicts and critical issues.Impact EvaluationAssess the impact of changes on applications, data, infrastructure, and end users.Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer (DPO).CollaborationWork with IT Cloud Infrastructure and IT Architecture teams to ensure application availability and performance.Coordinate with IT Security to ensure new applications meet Security by Design requirements.Engage with Procurement for tender operations when applicable.Project ManagementManage the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions.Define work plans, resources, timelines, and costs for projects, monitoring progress and resolving issues.Collaborate with development and project teams to define technical specifications.Communication & DocumentationManage communication and collaboration among internal and external project stakeholders.Draft technical documentation and progress reports.Provide training, assistance, and maintenance support for solutions.Maintenance & SupportConduct preventive and corrective maintenance of IT applications.Provide second and third‑level support for application issues, managing service requests beyond IT Service Support’s scope.Ensure continuity of IT services by managing expectations, risks, and critical issues.Update documentation and operating procedures related to applications.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Computer ScienceMaster’s DegreeQualifications3‑5 years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, or a similar role.Experience in HR or compliance projects / applications is highly desirable.Strong understanding of IT applications, infrastructure, and architecture.Knowledge of GDPR and IT security standards.Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or COBIT are advantageous.GDPR certification is a plus.CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.
