Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for Italy and Spain in close collaboration with the European Recruiting Team, ensuring alignment with global recruitment processes and standards (job postings, screening, interviews, offers) and continuously improving efficiency and consistency in the way vacancies are filled. Implement global HR processes (e.g., Performance & Development Reviews, salary review, talent and succession management) as defined by P&C Europe. Ensure a structured onboarding and offboarding process and prepare/manage employment-related documents (contracts, amendments, certificates, termination letters) in line with local law and company standards. Maintain accurate employee data in the HR system (HRIS), secure data quality for reporting and KPIs, and coordinate with payroll providers and Finance to ensure correct and timely payroll and handle employee queries. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in Italy and Spain (e.g., working time, documentation, health & safety) and provide guidance on employment law and labor relations, in close cooperation with external legal advisors where needed. Support global HR initiatives (e.g., Engagement Surveys, DE&I, HRIS and employer branding projects) and promote company culture and values, helping managers foster an inclusive and high-performance environment. Build effective working relationships with local managers, employee representatives/unions, and external partners, ensuring constructive dialogue, especially in the blue-collar context. Prepare and communicate HR information and guidelines in a clear, structured way, using suitable channels for employees without regular computer access, and proactively identify local HR needs, risks, and improvement opportunities. Review and optimize the HR service and provider landscape in Italy and Spain (e.g., payroll offices, legal counsel, external advisors), aiming for a lean, efficient, and clearly structured setup (ideally one main payroll office and one main legal partner per country), in close coordination with P&C Europe and Finance. Key Interfaces Provide the People & Culture Manager Europe with regular updates on key HR topics, risks, and opportunities in Italy and Spain Inform P&C Europe about relevant market conditions, labor law changes, and HR trends in Italy and Spain Collaborate closely with line managers and local leadership teams in Italy and Spain to support business goals from an HR perspective Work with the central Recruiting Team, Payroll, Finance, and other central functions to ensure smooth HR operations Coordinate with external partners (e.g., legal counsel, payroll and benefits providers, occupational health services, recruitment agencies) as needed General Requirements In this role, you act in accordance with the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow Piab’s values, mission, and routines. The position requires regular travel between Italy and Spain.
