OverviewData Center Technician, Data Center Operations — Job ID: | Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the cloud. You’ll join a diverse team and help deliver safety, security, and scalable solutions.ResponsibilitiesDiagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairsTroubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Performing root cause analysis of equipment failuresManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)Working rotating shifts (morning/late/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environmentLocal travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid (EU) driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation available nearby.Location & ScheduleLocation requirements: Data centers located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited.Work schedule: 100% onsite in-person position with shift-based schedule.QualificationsBasic: IT hardware troubleshooting related experienceCompleted formal education/apprenticeship or training in IT-related fieldB1+ level of EnglishDiploma or equivalent formal qualification in IT-related field (preferred)Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and in Data Center (preferred)About AWS & BenefitsWhy AWS?
