Field Security Specialist

HEKS/EPER (Swiss Church Aid) is the humanitarian and development organization of the Protestant Churches of Switzerland. It supports projects addressing hunger, poverty, and injustice in over 30 countries across four continents. The organization provides emergency relief for victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and engages in promoting social welfare and advocacy in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In Switzerland, HEKS/EPER actively supports the integration and rights of refugees and marginalized communities.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role based in Kharkiv for a Field Security Specialist. The responsibilities include ensuring the security and safety of staff and operations, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate security measures. The Field Security Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring security conditions, providing training to team members, and advising on risk mitigation strategies to maintain a secure work environment. Close collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders is an integral part of this role.QualificationsStrong analytical skills and ability to assess and manage security risks effectivelyEffective communication skills to collaborate with team members and relevant external stakeholdersProficiency in troubleshooting to address security-related challenges and find solutionsExperience in training and providing guidance on security measuresStrong customer service orientation with a proactive and responsive approachKnowledge of the local security context and experience in similar field-based roles is a plusFluency in Ukrainian and Russian.
