Summary We’re looking for a Tax specialist who will be part of the Italian tax department, working in tandem with our accounting and finance departments. In this role, the tax specialist will help design and implement tax policies and strategies, ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulatory codes. The role also requires tax planning and reporting, including preparation and filing of tax returns. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related issues. Key Accountabilities Support the Tax Manager with the financial reporting including the preparation of the tax computations, current and deferred taxes for the annual and interim financial statements. Prepare the annual corporate income tax returns of the company (Ires, Irap and CNM) and ensure compliance with tax reporting and tax payments. Prepare the withholding tax return on financial flows (dividend, interest and royalties). Prepare the quarterly VAT communications (LIPE), annual VAT return, Intrastat and manage quarterly and annual VAT refunds with the Italian Tax Authorities. Calculate real estate taxes and ensure the related payments are made on time. Prepare, process, and maintain paperwork related to all aspects of the accounting cycle, culminating in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Confirm the accuracy of records and documents related to tax reporting and preparation. Remain up to date with changes in the tax and accounting laws. Conduct research on tax compliance issues at the local and national levels. Assist and collaborate with the accounting team on work activity for achieving accurate and efficient tax entries in the ERP system (S4 Hannah). Assist and support the Group’s finance department with all tasks and ad hoc assignments related to tax. Assist the accounting team with the intercompany reconciliations and support the external advisor to prepare the local transfer pricing files. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field. Proven track record as a tax specialist or analyst, with 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance & tax reporting in a large company, Big 4 or reputable Italian tax practice. Deep knowledge of the Italian tax legislation and accounting environment, including international reporting standards (IAS / IFRS). Knowledge of SAP S4 system. Experience in managing extensive volumes of accounting paperwork for a corporation or large organization. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with written and spoken fluency in both Italian and English. Well organized, detail-oriented and team player. Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across teams. Proficiency with relevant accounting software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
