Someone who is able to work on challenging and rewarding projects on chemistry as well as on processability, from kilo-lab scale to manufacturing scale.If this picture fits your profile, maybe you’re the one we’re looking for Come and join IGMWhat are you going to do?Your main focus is managing the scale-up of new synthesis processes, making laboratory techniques and procedures more production-like processes, identifying the most suitable operating procedures, equipment and kilo-lab pilot plant configurations for a smooth, safe and fast scale-up of new processes.You’ll be working with R&D Chemists and the Production Team to consolidate and develop scalable chemical processes by identifying critical processing steps and parameters, being fully aware of the limitations of the plant equipment, supporting the conceptual design of new investment projects, while working closely with safety team to ensure safe transfer and operation of chemical processes.By developing strong relationship with internal such as external partners and stakeholders, you’ll be accountable for supplying representative and consistent samples for market growing of new products, supporting the project team for industrialization and preparing the technology transfer book to smoothly implement new processes.We are always looking for innovation and improvements that support our technological leading position in the market, which is why we are looking for someone who cares about the process, the products and helps with their implementation, driving global initiatives to support our GoGrowGreen strategyWho are we?We are a leading company in the UV technology market and specialized in producing raw materials for coatings, adhesives, lacquers and paints that harden using UV. We have grown rapidly in recent years and now we employ more than 700 employees worldwide: 110 belong to IGM Italy, mostly based in our production plant in Mortara (PV), some in our research lab in Gerenzano (VA). This position will be based in Italy (Mortara) with a direct reporting line to the EMEA R&D Process Development Manager.Who are you?You’re an Industrial Chemist, with proven experience in fine chemicals scale-up from bench scale to routine manufacturing.You have a technical driven and a problem-solving mindset, with high curiosity on both chemistry and processes.You share a good understanding of organic chemistry and laboratory techniques as well as of the physics of processes, together with good data analytical skills to generate and fully exploit the value of experimental runs.You keep abreast of new technologies and you are able to propose new and modified processes to make smoother the implementation, including literature review and patent searches.You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role for the launch of new products, from feasibility till industrialization, so you need to be flexible in working from different locations, proving to be dynamic, open minded, able to work independently as well as a good team member.You can do this both in Italian and in English, given our international environment.What do we offer?We work in a very complex and challenging context, that is for us an opportunity to learn and grow a lot.
