Our Mechanical & Electrical engineers work closely with architects, designers, and specialists across disciplines to deliver truly integrated and impactful solutions for our clients.The OpportunityWe are looking for a HVAC and Energy Engineer to join our MEP team (Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing) within Arup Milan Office.ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply and drainage systems, building automation and controls.Define and develop energy & carbon (scope 1,2,3) strategies with a particular focus on Science, Industry and Technology projects and client.Liaise with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and energy/carbon targets and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of requirements, inputs, and influence on all other.Act as project lead engineer and interface with the client.Manage small project teams.QualificationsSound knowledge in mechanical engineering and energy/carbon fundamentals.Bachelor/master’s degree in mechanical/building/Energy Engineering.Confirmed experience in the design of mechanical systems.Knowledge of AutoCAD Revit MEP.Fluency in both English and Italian, written and spoken.Good communication skills essential for team-based working.Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.Proactivity and willingness to take on new challenges.BenefitsProfessional Growth & Development: Benefit from continuous learning opportunities, training programs, and mentorship to enhance your skills and advance your career at Arup.Global Opportunities: Collaborate with colleagues worldwide and explore potential short-term or long-term assignments at other Arup offices and project locations.Financial Well-being & Ownership: Receive a competitive salary and benefits package and share in Arup's success through our global profit-sharing program.Flexible Working: Flexible working arrangements are made available to support and safeguard your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a workplace that reflects the rich diversity of the world around us.
