Financial Analyst I, GAR Compliance and ORTThe AR Compliance role in Finance Operations will be accountable for supporting effective and efficient solution launch for the region. The Regional AR Compliance Lead will report to the Global AR Compliance Lead as an AR SME and support regional AR compliance in terms of sequencing, scope, and inter‑dependencies specific to the geography. The Lead will drive immediate, near, mid, and long‑term planning for AR compliance to regulatory regime changes, represent and plan for requirements from all geographies, upstream functions, product and business insights, and inter‑dependencies with Tax, Regulatory and technology advancements. They will work across organizations, support the PMO in the Portfolio QBR and MBR, and ensure AR compliance program charters are correct at the regional level while assessing and mitigating inter‑dependency risk and opportunity.AR Compliance Lead will work with cross‑functional groups to improve the design of technology solutions, organize AR processes to accelerate adaptation to rapid regulatory changes, reduce manual work, and mitigate controllership and compliance risks. They will enable a proactive approach and audit readiness, automate compliance, and elevate the vendor/customer experience. The Lead will also support AR compliance in driving AR‑related tax regime changes as part of a holistic program backed by project teams in each country.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end‑to‑end AR Compliance processes related to indirect taxes, billing, collections, and cash application regulatory compliance.Develop, document, and maintain processes for handling compliance risks and audit.Work with tax, regional compliance, and tech teams to ensure adequate information is recorded in AR systems for audit purposes.Establish a robust framework for an E‑Invoice solution replicable across new geographies, with country‑specific customizations as needed.Own the process related to indirect tax audit matters at the country level and region, evaluating tax effects of international business initiatives, transactions, and proposals from a compliance and audit perspective.Gather required information from internal stakeholders to manage audit and compliance processes effectively.Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in collaboration with internal and external partners, driving positive change across the AR organization.Basic Qualifications5+ years of finance experience.2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis.Knowledge of standard software, including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA.Experience using data to influence business decisions.Experience in corporate finance, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects that scale and improve controllership with measurable results.Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
