OverviewBusiness Development Manager, Europe South — remote role covering Spain, Portugal & Italy. Part of the Cell and Gene Therapy Team; report to the Sales Manager - Europe. Responsibilities include identifying and developing revenue-generating opportunities across the assigned territory and supporting product and service improvements through customer feedback. ResponsibilitiesIdentify, prospect and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic and government organizations in the assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and yearly KPIs and goals Manage opportunity and sales pipeline data in CRM, providing accurate and up-to-date forecasts and visibility into new revenue opportunities Understand clients’ visions, strategies, and organizational structure and relay feedback to Product Management and Operations regarding new service opportunities and updates to products, services and processes Deliver presentations to clients on the full offering at senior levels within the client organization Develop territory and business development plans and adjust sales strategies to generate revenue growth in the assigned territory Essential RequirementsUniversity degree in Biotechnology or Biology OR several years of client-facing sales experience in the cell and gene therapy industry 5 years sales experience Broad technical understanding in molecular and cell biology, with knowledge of biotherapeutics including nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, etc. Experience developing territory and business development plans to expand the business and generate incremental revenue with new clients Willingness to travel across the geographic area of responsibility; travel to the USA for yearly meetings and trainings when necessary Fluent in English; Spanish and Italian fluency is an advantage Nice to haveExperience with the unique regulatory and quality requirements for the region Additional informationThe role supports remote work arrangements where eligible.
