This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our client's growing technology teams as a Cyber Security Engineer. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where you’ll support the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures across infrastructure, applications, and data. This is a unique chance to work closely with IT and DevOps teams, gaining exposure to multiple areas of cybersecurity while contributing to critical security initiatives from day one.What’s in it for you?- Join a supportive team where your work will directly strengthen the organisation’s security posture. - Gain broad experience across network security, application security, incident response, and risk assessment. - Take on a hands-on role with clear responsibility for helping enhance security controls and resilience. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence how security is integrated into business processes. - Develop your skills in a dynamic environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.Responsibilities:- Design and implement security controls for networks, systems, and applications. - Monitor security activity, analyse events, and support incident and vulnerability management. - Conduct penetration testing, risk assessments, and security reviews. - Automate routine security processes using scripting languages. - Support compliance with security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST. - Work with IT and DevOps teams to embed security across projects and operational workflows.Skills / Must Have:- Knowledge of network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN). - Understanding of application security and vulnerability analysis (OWASP). - Experience with cryptography and certificate management. - Background in Identity & Access Management (IAM). - Exposure to incident response and digital forensics. - Ability to script using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Familiarity with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap). - Experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis. - Understanding of risk assessment processes.Nice to Have:- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. - Clear communication ability and a collaborative mindset. - Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.Benefits:- Competitive salary package plus benefits (details available upon request). - Opportunity to work across multiple security domains with significant exposure and responsibility. - A collaborative team environment with room for professional development. - Ability to contribute directly to improving the organisation’s security posture.
