Job DescriptionAt ContentWise, our Senior Software Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and delivering distributed and high-scalable services with a focus on quality, robustness, and maintainability. They work closely with DevOps Engineers to architect and build streamlined software development pipelines and environments.This is a full-time position based in Milan, with a hybrid flexible work policy.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement distributed, highly scalable services ensuring quality and maintainability;Write technical documentation aligned with product and architecture updates;Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to optimize development pipelines and environments;Research, test, and apply new techniques to improve development processes, quality, and performance;Assign, delegate, and monitor tasks and projects to other Software Engineers, evaluating their progress and outcomes.Qualifications and ExperienceBS/MS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field;Minimum of 5 years experience as a backend developer, with expertise in Java or Kotlin and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS);Solid experience with Java frameworks (preferably Spring or Quarkus), Linux, MySQL, and NoSQL databases;Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and scalable distributed systems;Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB, S3;Experience with distributed event stores and streaming systems, preferably Apache Kafka;Knowledge of full-text search engines like Elasticsearch;Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines;Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban workflow;Passion for experimenting with cutting-edge technologies.Join Our TeamWe seek dynamic individuals eager to make a significant impact from day one.
