The Role The Assistant Venue Manager in Venue Hospitality (IVH) Event Production helps in the general coordination of the venue in conjunction with MICO and OLE FAs plus internal and external stakeholders. The role involves implementing processes to manage and coordinate resources, ensuring efficient, safe, and high‑quality working conditions for suppliers and services for every HSP guest at each Olympic or Paralympic session. Key Stakeholders On Location side IVH Cluster Manager (N2) Venue Manager (N1) On Location FAs Venue operator representatives MICO26 Side Venue Business Operations Manager (VBOM) MICO FAs Third party providers Production Agencies Caterers Entertainment providers Hospitality staffing agencies Essential Functions & Responsibilities Project Management : Collaborate with the Venue Manager and follow up on venue‑specific action points; manage overall project milestones and timelines, keeping the team aware of day‑to‑day progress and challenges. Production : Create onsite conditions to deliver a unique HSP guest experience while ensuring productive working conditions for venue staff; support hospitality coordination at competition venues, brief orders, plan implementation of concepts, and implement IVH products with production agencies, respecting guidelines and budget. Product : Monitor sales evolution, propose inventory movements, and support marketing actions. Partners / Suppliers Relations : Collaborate with service providers, stadium operators/owners, police, emergency services, and other partners; ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and MICO requirements. Process and Documentation : Update and develop key operational documentation, policies, and procedures initiated by Cluster Managers or new tools. Training : Support the development of the HSP venue management training program, lead on‑site training, and work with internal stakeholders. Budget : Update budget after each decision that impacts it. Debriefs and Reports : Help produce debriefs and final reports. Managing the hospitality program during selected sessions; collaborating with venue representatives; representing the hospitality unit (led by OLE) in the global MICO venue business operations department; leading on‑site visits and tours before the Olympic Games; troubleshooting and proactively addressing event aspects. Other Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include training venue staff, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and resolving problems alone or alongside On Location management. The list of duties may evolve over time. Essential Experience & Skills University degree or equivalent with a focus on event management. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports event organization and stadium or arena management. Experience managing and producing large‑scale complex projects, especially in sports and in France. Olympics experience or similar large‑scale project is a plus. Fluent business Italian & English; other languages encouraged. Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SharePoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Confluence, Airdtable. Highly organized and process‑oriented. Leadership, multi‑tasking, calm under pressure, adaptability, and strong communication, negotiation, conflict‑resolution skills. Self‑motivated and resourceful with minimal supervision. Good timekeeping, work ethic, commitment, motivation, and energy. Current residency in or willingness to relocate to Paris, France.
