Then this position may be the perfect opportunity for you The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Support Supervisor who acts as the Human Resource (HR) Liaison between Central Office and the ASPC-Eyman. This role also oversees the daily operations of the Complex HR Office, ensuring work productions comply with applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Eyman.Job DutiesSupervises subordinate staffConducts interviews, hires, approves leave and trains staff on work related processes, procedures and systemsAssigns and monitors work products of subordinatesReviews and evaluates work performanceTakes corrective action when necessaryEnsures personnel activity is processed timely and accuratelyMonitors and tracks complex position controlPrepares requests to fill positionsCompletes vacancy reports for placement of correctional personnel and trackingMonitors and reports budgeting and staffing profilesEnsures legality of hiresProctors examinations for Central Promotional Register hiringSchedules interview boards and extends job offersResearches, investigates and communicates requested information for employees, management and Central Office HR on a variety of complex personnel subjects, including benefitsPrepares reports for the Institution’s Warden and the Warden’s management teamInitiates desk procedures and other related topics as they align with area of responsibilityFacilitates team meetings and process improvement work groupsOversees research and assigns team members to tasksCompiles data for drafting procedures, manuals and other related materialTravels on State businessPerforms other duties appropriate to the assignmentKnowledge OfAZ360 data inputAZ360 SecurityArizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules, ADOA Compensation guidelines and Federal HR lawsWork application and flowComputer software such as Microsoft Office and Google SuiteSpreadsheets and database managementGeneral understanding of mathematical calculationsSkill InCustomer serviceEffective conflict resolutionMathematical and analyticsTime management and trainingResearch and interviewsCompliance and auditingWritten and verbal communicationEstablishing and maintaining interpersonal relationshipsOrganizationProblem solving and process improvementAbility ToRecognize substandard performanceStreamline and improve workflowRecognize inefficiencyEnsure deadlines are metIdentify shifting priorities and deadlinesFact find by performing effective and efficient researchIdentify discrepancies problems and formulate a solutionAccess and utilize a multitude of computer softwareWork in a prison environmentSelective Preference(s)Prefer two (2) years of supervisory related experience working in a government settingPre-Employment RequirementsEmployment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation. In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training.
