About Maritime Ventures Maritime Ventures is a venture builder supported by CDP Venture Capital, together with leading industrial, financial, and innovation players from Italy and Germany. Our mission is to launch 10 high-impact startups to drive the digital and sustainable transformation of the maritime industry. Backed by key partners like Fincantieri, PSA Italy and Intesa Sanpaolo, among others, we provide a unique ecosystem where experienced founders, technologists, and operators collaborate to turn bold ideas into scalable companies. We are continuously looking for Entrepreneurs in Residence who aspire to become CEO and co-founder of one of the startups emerging from Maritime Ventures’ venture building pipeline. Tasks As Entrepreneur in Residence & CEO, you will: Drive the venture from early-stage product development to successful go-to-market execution Validate the business model and lead the first customer acquisition efforts Build and lead a high-performing founding team Manage relationships with shipyards, owners, and tech/service partners Collaborate with venture building experts to develop financial models, pitch decks, and fundraising strategies Raise the remaining part of the seed round (50% already committed) Represent the company to investors and key ecosystem stakeholders Requirements What We’re Looking For Must-have: 10+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, execution-driven attitudeExperience in early-stage startups, venture building, or scale-up environments Ability to operate across strategy, product, and commercial execution Exposure to fundraising processes and VC/investor-facing activities Interest in industrial, maritime, or B2B technology-driven businesses Fluent in English; Italian is a plus Willingness to re-locate to Italy and work on-site (optional Genova or Trieste) Benefits What’s In It for You Founder-level equity in a validated, high-potential venture Access to Maritime Ventures’ entire ecosystem of strategic partners, industry mentors, and investors The opportunity to lead a start-up that is transforming one of the world’s oldest industries with cutting-edge technology Hands-on venture building support from Bridgemaker and Cariplo Factory Direct collaboration with CDP Venture Capital and major maritime industry players A chance to shape the future of intelligent boating and lifecycle management If you are looking to found your next company, step into a CEO role, and build a startup with strong industrial roots and venture capital support, Maritime Ventures offers a unique platform to turn ambition into execution.
