Instrumentation and Electrical Junior EngineerThe opportunityInstrumentation and Electrical engineer is responsible for activities related to its discipline within a project. He/She as part of a group of automation/electrical engineers assigned to the project, prepare deliverables and execute activities belonging to electrical discipline in compliance with safety and technological requirements and standards defined for the project.He/She reports to the Head of Department, while reports to the Instrumentation/Electrical Discipline Leader assigned to the project for the project related activities.Key responsibilitiesDevelop the discipline deliverables such as:Single Line DiagramsLoad schedule/ Plant load balanceNetwork studies and calculations (Load flow, short circuit, stability, protection settings, harmonics, etc.)Electrical equipment specifications for MV and LV equipment such as Motor Control Centers, switchgears, metering panels, transformers, UPSes, VFDs, motors, heaters, etc.Earthing, lighting, tracing systemsCCTV, Public Address systemsElectrical cables routing, power distributionElectrical layout drawingsField installation detailsField equipment and accessories MTOTechnical specifications / data sheets for field and control room instrumentation.Sizing and calculation of flow elements, control, and safety valves.Process hook-up sketches and relevant bill of materials.Instrumentation cabling, wiring, junction boxes, power supply and distribution, UPS, and associated TCP/IP, SCADA, Modbus networking (switches, routers, Ethernet, fiber optics, etc.)Interlock and control logic diagrams.Interlock and control narratives.Distributed Control Systems (DCS)Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)Packages and/or Machinery controls and protection systemsControl and instrumentation design on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Fire and Gas detection and protection systemsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Automation/Electrical Engineering.Experience in engineering design in Oil & Gas or Power sectors is preferred.Proactivity, sense of initiative, ability to work independently and in a team.Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).Availability to short and long term national and international business trips.We encourage candidates who may not meet every single requirement to apply, as we provide opportunities for growth and learning.As part of the Department the Automation/Electrical Engineer:Provides feedback to Instrumentation/Electrical Discipline Leader to increase efficiency of the group assigned to the projectReceives continuous training on the job according to the needs of the Department acquiring competences and shared experiencesKeeps him/herself updated about the electrical designPursues the continuous improvement of his/her proficiency and technical competencesHe/She can participate to manufacturer inspectionsHe/She can assist the pre-commissioning/commissioning supervisor and start-up supervisor for all those activities related to plant process automation/electricalSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionDesign and Project ManagementIndustriesEngineering Services and Chemical ManufacturingMilan, Lombardy, Italy#J-18808-Ljbffr
