Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and support Cardo AI\'s rapid growth. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, performant data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. Your work will enable the AI algorithms and data science products that power our platform. As a Senior Data Engineer at Cardo AI you will Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Apache Spark and Airflow Optimize SQL queries running on Trino Lead large scale data lakehouse and analytics projects with high business impact Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on data engineering best practices Collaborate closely with Data Science and Product teams to deliver robust data solutions Build and maintain automated data workflows and cloud infrastructure on AWS (S3, Glue, EKS) Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability of data systems Required Skills Strong command of relational databases (Postgres) and advanced SQL with query performance tuning experience Extensive experience building ETL pipelines using Apache Spark and orchestrating workflows with Apache Airflow Deep knowledge of AWS data and compute services: Aurora, Athena, S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, etc. Strong understanding of data engineering design principles, data modeling, and pipeline architecture Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to other engineers Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform (preferred) Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of data lake architectures and semi-structured data sources Why Cardo AI?
